RUSSO, Salvatore F. "Sal" 91, of New Port Richey, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, gentleman and dear friend, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home. He was born in New York, New York after his parents came to Ellis Island from Italy. He raised a family and worked as a supervisor of a construction company at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Sal retired and moved to Florida in 1974. He enjoyed the sunshine, going to the gym, talking politics, watching baseball, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was prede-ceased by his wife of 64 years, Lillian. He is survived by his son, Charles Russo, DMD of Coral Springs; daughter, Kathleen Bauer of Newton, NJ; daughter, Laraine Baker and her husband, Glenn of Tarpon Springs; two grandsons, three granddaughters and four great -grandchildren; as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends who loved him. At 91 years young, he continued his gym membership of over 20 years at Select Physical Therapy in New Port Richey where he was surrounded by his friends who soon became his extended family. Sal was well loved by all and will be sorely missed.Memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 am, May 21, at Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Habashi, Karam D., age 87, of Clearwater, passed away on March 10, 2013.  He is a native of Cairo, Egypt, lived most of his working years in accounting in Connecticut till he finally retired to Clearwater where he lived the rest of his years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Annie Habashi, his two daughters, Myra Rasmussen, married to Torben Rasmussen of New Hampshire and Nancy Daoud of Connecticut as well as 5 grandchildren, Kareem, Nina and Kris Daoud and Anders and Yannick Rasmussen.

Services will be held on Friday March 15th, 2013 at St. Mary and St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church located at 2930 County Rd 193 in Clearwater, FL  33759 beginning at 10:30 am.

Glinka, Thomas “Tommy” F., 47, passed away on March 11, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Point Pleasant, NJ on November 15, 1965. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie Marshall Glinka.

Tommy graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1984. He was an avid Buccaneers Fan and loved tailgating. He was an active participate with his son’s football organization, Carrollwood Canes. Tommy enjoyed cooking and entertaining and was a local pool builder.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rochelle Glinka, son Austin and daughter Kayla, also his father Frank Glinka.  He was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend to many.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013, 2:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, 14920 Hutchinson Road, Tampa, FL 33624.

She was born in Jonesville, Honduras, and had lived in the Tampa area since 1954. She was a skilled and gifted seamstress creating beautiful dresses, prom and wedding gowns, band costumes, and many other beautiful items. Her only two entries to the Florida State Fair were each first place winners for their respective years. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and her husband of 60 years, Victor Jones. She is survived by her children Andrew (Ann) Jones of Charleston, Vanie (John) Benedetto, and Nellie R Jones of Tampa and her grandchildren Andrea (Brian) Beattie of Bonaire, GA, Brian Kerns of Plant City, Melissa Hickok of Boynton Beach, and Giovanni (fianc‚ Bianca Conigliaro) Benedetto III of Tampa. She is also survived by 7 great grand children in FL and GA; three siblings all of Jonesville, Honduras; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an amazing number of loving friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday , January 30, 2013, at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655, (888) 271-5820. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10 - 11 am. Verrette, Brian L., 43, of New Port Richey, originally from Crowley, LA, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 in the arms of his wife and surrounded by his children and family.  Brian was a true warrior in the fight against cancer through his many years as a volunteer and leader with the American Cancer Society.  Brian was most proud of his years of service to our country in the US Navy.  He is survived by his wife, Karrol; children, Stephanie and Jordan Verrette; step children, Jonathan and Marc D’Elia, and Kyle Clark; parents, Paul and Martha Verrette; and brothers Mark Verrette and Troy Roth. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25 at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Generations Christian Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Amalia Sabetti

SABETTI, Amalia "Nonna" 77, of New Port Richey, passed away on Jan. 11, 2013, surrounded by her loving children. She was born on May 4, 1935, in Tagliacozzo, Italy where she met and married her husband, Enzo Sabetti who preceded her in death. They had four children and moved to the United States in 1975. Nonna loved her family dearly. Having lost her mother young she was a self taught nurturer and homemaker. She spent her Sundays with her family having home cooked meals while laughing and reminiscing. She forged a deep and strong bond with all her children and especially her grandchildren. She was adored by them all and will be sorrowfully missed. She is survived by her sons, Mario Sabetti and Max Sabetti (Dana Galietta); grandsons, Anthony and Christopher Sabetti (Desirae Sabetti); her daughters, Gabriella Rossi (Mario Fontana) and Manuela Bruno (Michael Bruno); granddaughters, Tonia and Deana Rossi and granddaughters, Olivia and Sofia Bruno. Family will receive friends at Trinity Memorial Gardens on Monday Jan. 14, 2013, from 5-8 pm with mass on Tuesday Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Thomas of Aquinas at 9 am with entombment to follow.

Pritchard Sr., Dudley P., 80, of Port Richey, passed away Jan. 10, 2013. He was born March 17, 1932 in Tuckahoe, NY and is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Dorothy; two daughters, Dorothy Masumian (Scott), and Bonnie-Jean Brackett (Thomas); son, Dudley Pritchard Jr.(Debborah); 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.  He was a former member of the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department and retired from Westchester County Public Works Department.  He was also a Pasco County Sheriff School Crossing Guard and served in the US Army Reserve.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with funeral services on Monday, January 14 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (727-376-7824).
