Salvatore Russo
RUSSO, Salvatore F. "Sal" 91, of New Port Richey, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, gentleman and dear friend, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home. He was born in New York, New York after his parents came to Ellis Island from Italy. He raised a family and worked as a supervisor of a construction company at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Sal retired and moved to Florida in 1974. He enjoyed the sunshine, going to the gym, talking politics, watching baseball, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was prede-ceased by his wife of 64 years, Lillian. He is survived by his son, Charles Russo, DMD of Coral Springs; daughter, Kathleen Bauer of Newton, NJ; daughter, Laraine Baker and her husband, Glenn of Tarpon Springs; two grandsons, three granddaughters and four great -grandchildren; as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends who loved him. At 91 years young, he continued his gym membership of over 20 years at Select Physical Therapy in New Port Richey where he was surrounded by his friends who soon became his extended family. Sal was well loved by all and will be sorely missed.Memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 am, May 21, at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
