Carmen Bancroft
BANCROFT, Carmen Arlene 71, of Palm Harbor, passed away Feb. 7, 2012. She was born in Ely, NV. She is survived by her husband, Donald(Rusty) Bancroft. Carmen and Rusty moved to Florida 15 years ago, after living in Venezuela for 40 years. Carmen and Rusty celebrated 51 years of marriage in July 2011. Carmen has three daughters and son-in-laws, Melanie and Craig Price of Palm Harbor, Vanessa and Bobby Drackett of Flower Mound, TX, Courtney and Daniel Alexander of Madison, MS. Ninky, as she was known to her family, will be missed by her 7 grandchildren, Tyler Drackett, Andrew Alexander, Austin Drackett, Cameron Drackett, Morgan Alexander, Chase Drackett and Maddie Grace Price. She is also survived by her sister, Suzan Dreher of New Port Richey; brother, Butch Parker of Smithfield, NC; sister-in-law, Lennon Thompson of Hattiesburg, MS; sister-in-law, Nancy Jones of New Port Richey; nieces, Heidi Dreher and Peggy Rose of New Port Richey, Lennon Ann of San Luis Obispo, CA and nephew, "T" Thompson of Towanda, PA. Carmen attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Tarpon Springs and volunteered for the homeless, was an advocate for heart disease, strong supporter of the Ronald McDonald Houses and MD Anderson Children's Art Center. Carmen will always be remembered by her kind spirit and ability to express her love of family and friends through her artistic talents. She expressed herself in countless ways. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Carmen's name to, Ronald McDonald Houses or St. Jude's Childrens. A Memorial Service will be held today at 11 am at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 727-376-7824.
