Thomas Edward Pallatt

Pallatt, Thomas Edward, 70, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida after a sudden illness. Thomas retired to New Port Richey, Florida in 2008, his lifelong dream. He was born in Philadelphia on November 10, 1940 to Helen Smith Pallatt and William Pallatt. Thomas graduated from Frankford High School in 1959. He was married to married to Vance Alexander Pallatt in June, 1969. He lived in Philadelphia, Bensalem, and Skippack, Pennsylvania before moving to New Port Richey, Florida in 2009. He was a Sea Scout, Volunteer Firefighter, avid boater and loved the water. Over the years Thomas was employed by Janney Cylinder, Crane, Honeywell, and Wesco from where he retired in 2005. In retirement he traveled to the Philippines and Vietnam as well as the Western United States.
Thomas is survived by his two daughters: Denise Pallatt Buechner and her husband Christopher Buechner (Bensalem PA), Patricia Pallatt Williams and her husband Walter Todd Williams (Carbondale, CO). His three granddaughters: Morgan Buechner, Kaylie Buechner and Madison Buechner (Bensalem, PA), his two brothers and two sisters: William Pallatt (Victorville, CA), Barbara Pallatt Smith and her husband Robert Smith (Philadelphia, PA), Patricia Pallatt Stich and her husband Thomas Stich (Mansfield, PA), and Richard Pallatt (Toledo, OH), his Aunt Elma Pallatt (Andalusia, PA), and Brother-in-Law Alfred J. DeSimone (Trappe, PA), his friend and companion: Joshua Bernstein (New Port Richey, FL). Thomas was predeceased in death by his sister Madeline “Lyn” Pallatt DeSimone, May 2011.
A memorial service will be held at the Heritage Lake Clubhouse at Heritage Lake 9151 Heritage Lake Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34655 on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11AM.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Thomas’ memory to the National MS Society Colorado-Wyoming Chapter, PO Box 172625, Denver, CO 80217-2625 or for the Critical Care Tower Intensive Care Unit at St Joseph’s Hospital through St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation, SJHFoundation.org or 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa FL 33607.
